Stellest/ Miyosmart Spectacle lenses
We are proud to be one of the first practices to start dispensing Miyosmart spectacle lenses by Hoya. Once Essilor Stellest was released we also started dispensing this and have confidence in both products in terms of managing Myopia Progression in children. Our zoom conference about Miyosmart and the clinical trials for all Myopia Management spectacle lenses are linked below.
Here are 5 facts about Myopia Managing Spectacle Lenses:
1. The clinical trial for DIMS (Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments) which is the technology used by Hoya Miyosmart, showed a 52% slower progression of Myopia in the children wearing DIMS compared to single vision lens correction.
2) 21.5% children who wore DIMS lenses had
no myopia progression over 2 years, but only 7.4% for
those who wore single vision correction lenses.
3)Another study using HAL (highly aspherical lenslets) technology used by Essilor Stellest lenses, found a 67% slower progression in Myopia compared to the control group.
5)Longer wearing hours results in better myopia control
